Introduced in Incoterms 2020 to replace DAT. The seller delivers when the goods, unloaded from the arriving transport, are placed at the buyer's disposal at the named place of destination — which can be a terminal or any other location.
Where risk transfers
At the named destination, after unloading is complete.

Use it when
Terminal or project-site deliveries where the seller controls specialist handling equipment.
Watch out
Never agree DPU at a place where you cannot guarantee unloading capability — that obligation is unique to this rule.
